Caffé Trieste |
Cafe or Restaurant Chain |
| Notes | |
| This chain, started by Giovanni Giotta in SF's North Beach in 1956, is often credited with introducing espresso to the West Coast. The atmosphere is heavy, but the espresso hasn't entirely kept up the highest standards. With locations now in Sausalito, Berkeley, and now near SF's Civic Center. |
