You simply cannot love espresso in North America for more than a few years and not know who Espresso Vivace is. Founded in Seattle in 1988 by David Schomer and Geneva Sullivan, Vivace was among North America's first commercial experimentalists when it came to seeking the perfect retail espresso. Starting as a cart service, it has since evolved into a small chain of Seattle-based cafés and kiosks plus an enterprise for training and spreading the word on making great espresso.
