In some ways, Deruta, near Perugia in Umbria, is Italy's answer in ceramics to France's Limoges porcelain. It may not have the classic style and historical elegance, but it's hand-painted craftsmanship is distinguishable throughout the world. There are a wide variety of artisans who produce Deruta ceramics; this is a placeholder for them all.
