A French line of fully tempered, break resistant dinnerware that's lighter than standard china. It can be found in many U.S. chain stores. It now more commonly goes by the name Arcoroc, which is part of the larger Arc International Group (http://www.arc-international.com/) that includes familiar brands in America such as Mikasa. But rather than being made in France, since 1980 they have been produced by Vidrieria Cristalleria de Lamiaco, the Spanish subsidiary of the Group. The production unit in Lamiaco and a factory near Bilbao produces their Arcoroc and Luminarc branded products.
