Nearly identical to their nearby Pender St. location. But no fair! This rating is based on an espresso served by owner and Canadian barista champion, Sammy Piccolo. Sammy is a bundle of energy and is very eager to please. Ask for him by name to make your espresso. He produces the thickest, richest crema I've had in North America. Sammy takes a great deal of prep time to make it properly, and the result is an artistic and technical masterpiece. Rich, full, and complex flavor that's strong but not too bold: mellow smoke, spice, and tobacco tied together with a vanilla-like sweetness.
