A very ordinary restaurant with unreasonable prices - just the kind you'd expect in the overpriced Stanford mall. They have a bit of outdoor sidewalk patio seating under parasols to lure in the mall-walkers, but there are also many indoor tables where it's dark. Using a single-group UNIC at the bar, they pull shots of espresso with a massive pour size. It has a bare crema covering, and its flavor is slightly harsh, with a bitter edge, for the typical mild-spice-and-wood flavor of Illy. Despite the pour size, the shot is surprisingly strong and not too watery. Still, what gives with the lemon rind? Is it still 1991?
