The kind of odd place you might only find in Santa Cruz, they specialize as a panini and wine bar. However, the small interior is all over the map: a small, dark space with a few tables, stool seating at a counter, a colorful orange sofa set, African masks on the walls, a stand-up piano decorated with movie reels, old telephones, etc. Then throw on the kid's menu - and the dog's menu. But they have a two-group Linea machine at the counter, and from it they pull shots with an even, medium brown crema. The pour is a bit large, but it has a simple but slightly refined flavor or spice and pepper. Served in old school, large IPA cups.
