This East City café masquerading as a lounge offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a full bar, and coffee. In front along the sidewalk there are a couple of stools on a wooden platform at the building entry, whereas inside it's designed like a modern lounge/bar. The free Wi-Fi here attracts a less clubby set. However, the theme is actual mugging - down to the height markers in feet along one wall as if it were a gas station used to regular stick-ups. Using a red, two-group La San Marco at the bar, they pull shots with a 13-bean Sibon blend that reminds us a bit of Illy: a thinner medium brown crema, and a flavor of spice and some mild pepper with Illy-like woodiness. Served in Sibon logo cups with two sweets on the side for R11.
