This Vida e Caffè sits at a busy intersection on a Kloof St. corner and is very popular with the locals. There are several red tables and chairs on the Kloof St. sidewalk in front with a few tall café tables. Indoors, there is window counter seating with some bench seating along the side of the shop. From a white, four-group WEGA, they pull shots with a mixed dark and light brown crema (R10.50). It has the expected Portuguese thinner body and a less-than-distinctive flavor of some mellow cloves, pepper, and spice. But it generally does the job for this chain. Also with the expected heavy milk frothing for true cappuccinos with dry foam and cocoa.
