This is a large, square space at the southern end of Long St., located on a busy, highway-like intersection. Inside there are a number of booths and tables. Along the sidewalk out front there are patio chairs, despite all the traffic noise. They have a wood-fired oven in the back and are known for their baked goods. They are also frequented heavily by Mission-like hipsters (for those from SF). Using a two-group La Caramali at the bar, they pull shots of a medium-brown, even crema of decent thickness. It's well-balanced, with a mellow flavor of some spice, pepper, and wood. Served with a heart-shaped cookie on the side in Cup & Saucer cups (odd, outside of Portugal, but less so given the Buondi coffee). R12. Their milk-frothing is also pretty decent, and they serve it tall in Fortis tall cappuccino cups (which are more like lattes).
