Review
This more casual café is related to the nearby restaurant of the same name. Located at the front of the Harbor Village shops, and the working pier, they have a large outdoor patio space enclosed in glass with seating under Miscela d'Oro-branded parasols. Inside there are a number of self-service tables. The menu promotes breakfast items, baked goods, panini, gelati, soups, and salads in addition to coffee. In addition they sell wine, coffee cups, and bags of Torrefazione Portioli. Using a two-group La Cimbali machine at the bar, they pull shots of espresso with a healthy mottled medium brown crema and a pleasant-but-potent aroma. Served in Caffé Mokarabia cups, it leads with a pungent flavor of cloves. Their cappuccinos tend to be very milky (so order double espressos in them) and are topped with decent milk-frothing of rather even, small bubbles and cocoa powder. (These are served in BIA cups.)
