This location of the Lavazza Esspresion chain sits inside the mall-like Metra Market, catering primarily to commuters who arrive from/leave for Chicago's various suburbs. It's an L-shaped space, covered some merchandising, Lavazza design photography, and with seating in back among a few designer café tables. Using a three-group WEGA at the bar, they pull shots of espresso that are a bit tepid in appearance, flavor, and body: a basic, even, medium brown crema on the pale side with flavors of mild spices and wood. Adequate but not reaching for much more. [CLOSED Dec 2014 when lease ended due to being unprofitable.]
