Located in the new California Academy of Sciences as its prime dining area, this cafeteria has a three-group Elektra machine located at the end of a service island. They pull rather slow (slow is good) shots of espresso - albeit 'doppio'-sized for singles. It has a medium brown, even crema that's a little on the thin side - but not too much. The coffee seems relatively fresh (a couple weeks old) and comes from Thanksgiving Coffee Co. However, it's a bit of an acquired taste - a bit earthy, turpeny, and with a flavor of root-like bitterness. Served in black ACF ceramic cups.
