With its glowing neon sign for coffee, this small neighborhood grocer offers simple coffee service and sells Coffee Magic beans retail. Walking inside, the staff almost give this place the feel of the movie "Clerks" - just substitute video rentals for coffee and groceries. Inside there are stained-red wooden floors, a couple of tiny (and cheap) café tables, and very limited sidewalk seating in front as the staff allow. Using a two-group Pasquini, they pull shots of their own Joe's Espresso (Joe no longer works here, but his brother does). It's a very large shot, served with a minimalist pale crema that's barely present. It has a smooth yet decent filter coffee flavor of mild pepper and spice. But this really isn't espresso. They just use an espresso machine to essentially produce filter coffee.
