This tiny sidewalk kiosk can be identified by its bold Caffe Trieste awning. Otherwise, there's little else to this tiny cubbyhole with a service window. Inside they use a two-group La San Marco to pull shots with a thin layer of medium brown crema. It scantily covers the surface of the cup, which is a slightly large pour with flavors of mild pepper and spice. The coffee shows a little age. The chatty, friendly barista may not know much about what goes into their coffee, but it's not watery despite its pour size. They also offer classic brown ACF cups (without saucer, mind you) if you're not in a to-go paper cup mood.
