Formerly Café Lil Bean. A tiny, Asian-American-run, European-themed sidewalk cafe goes heavy on the Illy theme. Filled with the cramped charm of random Italian trinkets, small art prints, and walls covered with Polaroids of worldwide tourists. Frequented by European tourists from nearby Union Square hotels, so don't be surprised if you're captured by "paparazzi." Understaffed, so service is often painfully slow (part of its homage to European cafés?). Espresso is served with little crema with a mild, herbal flavor and an unfortunate sour edge (too cool a brewing temperature?). [CLOSED: Farm:Table cafe as of 2009.]
