Patrons are first greeted by their large San Franciscan roaster, complete with the local roaster accoutrements of plastic buckets and burlap bags. Several indoor tables with inlaid beans under glass. Photos of old jazz artists. A few metal café tables on the sidewalk out front. Labelled "Fair Trade Certified" throughout. Popular with local bean buyers, but also many quiet readers. Espresso is served with a thinner, slightly dark crema. Its flavor is a mild but complex mix of caramel, vanilla, and spice. There's also a smaller storefront just around the corner at 602 Irving St., by 7th Ave. At the core of the recent introduction of good espresso in the Inner Sunset.
