One of the best Park Service espressos you will find anywhere - with views to match. Quiet, newly commissioned building serves soup, sandwiches, baked goods, and espresso. A few larger indoor tables. But the main feature is a long row of modern stools along a birch countertop overlooking the Crissy Field wetlands and Golden Gate Bridge - through expansive windows beneath the observation deck. Espresso is served, from a Mr. Espresso machine, in a short paper cup with a robust aroma and a rich, medium-dark brown crema (with some white spots indicating too high a brewing temperature). Deep but pleasant tobacco flavor with some smokiness.
