A newer and less than stellar Ferry Building outlet of this popular, and often very good, chain. Very limited window counter seating, otherwise it's paper cups to go. Using a La Marzocco Linea, they produce a thinner layer of medium-to-pale brown, very even crema. Subdued flavor, aroma, and brightness. A simple, narrow flavor of mild spice and what seems like marshmallow. The body, more recently, has also run thinner. The baristas here seem less skilled than at their other locations, making it a weak link in the Peet's chain. But it's Peet's: it's still pretty good.
