The Ritz Carlton boasts two restaurants. The Dining Room is a Mobil 5-star event. The Terrace (reviewed here) has a large garden patio with a famed Sunday jazz brunch. As with many restaurants, despite the great food and service, the espresso is second rate. They grind organic Peerless to order, but they leave the portafilters lying in the drip tray. They produce a thinner crema with a surprising dark & light brown richness for Peerless beans. The baristas try for a fuller crema, but only achieve so much. Slightly metallic flavor with some smoky and medicinal elements, but it otherwise ashy.
