High-end restaurant with a serious wine list and a celebrity sommelier. Smaller space with a darker decor and interesting lights. Marked by less trendy restaurant patrons. Coffee, of course, is one of their weak spots. They use a two-group UNIC Phoenix Twin at the bar to produce espresso with a thinner, medium brown crema. Filling their designer Illy cups to the rim, it's a little watery for Illy. But the flavor follows the traditional Illy roast/woody theme. [CLOSED: After 14 years in Aug 2008.]
