In the Orchard Hotel, off the hotel lobby, you enter a lounge/bar before heading into a pretty swank looking restaurant. The food is what you might expect, but it surprisingly doesn't cost a lot. They emphasize their wine and tea menus, but unfortunately their coffee offerings are light years behind. Using a two-group La Spaziale at the bar, they overpour espresso to the point of spillage over the rims of Caffè Umbria-logo IPA cups. Even scarier, even when you asked them for a short, half-size shot on request, they proudly come back smiling with the exact same overflowing cup, telling you, "Just as you asked for." Whatever. Because of the volume of liquid, their espresso has a flooded, watery flavor of diluted spice and pepper. Comes with a half-decent medium brown, mottled crema, however - so they're not entirely clueless.
