This café inhabits a long space along the 5th & Mission parking garage, and it features local musicians and artists. Inside there are many couches, tables, and stools - and rice plates, salads, baked goods, and ice cream. They use Tully's for drip coffee and Illy for espresso. Using a two-group Green Compact PU Promac at the end of the ice cream counter, they produce an espresso with a light to medium brown crema that thins out rather quickly. In general, it's a properly sized shot - making the flavor semi-potent even if the body is a touch watery. They serve it at a lukewarm temperature, and it tastes of some smoke, cardimon, and cedar. They staff are very nice and eager to build a good business. [CLOSED: as of October 2007. Becoming a nail salon.]
