When you want an over-the-top dining experience, this is a pretty good place to start. (Well, that and a home equity loan.) This internationally recognized restaurant is next to the Hotel Vintage Court. It seats diners among a couple dozen tables with several staffers waiting on you. But unlike most restaurants at this level, the place and the staff are far from stuffy. If only the espresso was something to write home about. Using a two-group Elektra Maxi, they pull a fairly large espresso shot with only a ring of pale crema on the surface. While not bitter, its worst quality is its watery thin body. While it tastes of drip coffee, it does have a slightly more interesting pungent, though watery, edge to its flavor profile.
