Owner Alessandro Hausbrandt tries to carry the tradition of his great-grandfather, Hermann Ernest Hausbrandt, who many consider to be a founding father of espresso. (Nevermind that today's roaster by the name of Hausbrandt leaves a lot to be desired.) His operation makes wood-roasted coffees with an emphasis on blends for espresso. They have a small, loyal following in Italy.
