Brothers Jerad & Justin Morrison started this independent SF coffee shop opened in 2009. It has since established a loyal following, a lot of "new coffee" trappings, and an extensive roasting space with a vintage roaster that became operational by 2011.
Their signature Owl's Howl blend is typically distributed quite fresh and makes a picturesque espresso with tiger-striped crema. However, Sightglass is the Church of the Brightness Bomb: body is typically lacking in the cup and the coffee is overwhelmed by dominant fruit and brightness notes. Great coffee if that's your thing though. |
