Chad Morris and Michael Riendeau started as home roasters and grew to open their roasting business specializing in small batch commercial coffees in 2009. They first served primarily the El Paso, TX market and have since grown to serve also New Mexico, Hollywood, CA, and even Ohio. They deal in only 100% arabica coffees and roast single origins, a handful of micro-lot coffees, and a few blends.
They started a "Sommelier Crafted Coffee" line as an unfortunate confluence of wine and coffee through a partnership with Austin, TX sommelier Sam Hovland. Which blunt-force shoehorns the wine-analogy-for-coffee a little too much for us to take seriously -- not to mention smacking a bit of marketing desperation. But the product is still of good quality.
